Karen Shore, PhD
Karen Shore, PhD, is a Consultant with CHBRP. She is a health services researcher with a passion for policy and a commitment to increasing the use of evidence in decision-making and translating research to inform policy, with an overall goal of improving health and health care. With 25 years of experience in health policy and health services research, Karen has held a variety of leadership, program, and research positions in public- and private-sector organizations, including the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER), UC Davis Institute for Population Health Improvement, Center for Health Improvement, American Institutes for Research, and Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH). She earned a PhD in health services and policy analysis from the University of California, Berkeley. A Michigan native, she also has a master’s degree in health services administration and a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from the University of Michigan.
