Stephen Clancy, MLS
Steve Clancy has worked as Assistant Director of the Kaiser Bellflower Health Sciences Library, and the University of California, Irvine Libraries as a Health Sciences Librarian from 1981 to the present. He currently holds the position of Research Librarian for Health Sciences and Nursing Science and is the UCI Libraries' liaison to the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, and nursing staff of the UCI Medical Center.
Along with other UCI Medical Librarians, he has been an instructor in online resources and Evidence-based Medicine for the UCI School of Medicine for over 18 years. He has developed and taught a Medical Library Association continuing-education course "Point-of-Care EBM: Bedside Tools for Healthcare Practitioners," and is co-author of an online tutorial "Evidence-based Practice: Improving Patient Care." He has also collaborated on several recently published or in-process systematic reviews, and recently co-authored "The New Version of MEDLINE What Searchers Want" (Online Searcher. May-June, 2020) analyzing the recent changes to the PubMed user interface. He has served as a consultant for various interface enhancements for Medline on the Ovid platform.
Steve works with CHBRP as a Research Librarian and has supported many CHBRP analyses with literature searches and reviews. He holds a Master's of Library Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
